Clipart You Can Easily Edit

This page shows some of the ways you can easily edit the mood faces clipart collection. I created the collection using the illustration program CorelXara and the 3d animation program Xara3D. Both are inexpensive, easy-to-learn, yet powerful graphics programs. Both are available as free trial downloads. The clipart can be downloaded in the original formats. This feature enables you to easily edit the clipart by using the same software I used to create them.

		This is the classic happy face from the animated faces page of the collection. The main difference here is I had Xara3D make it much smaller. It could just as easily been made larger - or even smaller.
		In this example I simply turned the animation "off" with a single click. Xara3D can be used to simply put soft shadows on static graphics.
	Mouseover!	Here I used the two images above to create a mouseover effect. On mouseover the static image literally rolls over. ( Javascript effects like this are really easy to implement in Dreamweaver ).
		This variation shows you can adjust the background color. Any color could have been used. I also changed the shadow to a violet "glow".
		Animating it against a background - No Problem! This variation shows that Xara3d can do other styles of animation.
		No matter what your background tile looks like you can modify your Xara3D animation to work with it. This example also shows another animation style possible.

This little guy demonstrates that Xara3D allows you to adjust the timings of your animations. In this case I added a two second pause between revolutions. Effects like this couldn't be any easier to incorporate and add a nice touch of sophistication.

These examples only touch on some of the capabilities of Xara3D. The program excels when working with text-based graphics. (The mood faces aren't text based).
