Use this color picker to get the "hex" value of colors you like. Knowing the hex value allows you to specify the color in the html coding of your web pages. For instance, the hex value of six characters can be used in the <BODY> and <FONT> tags to specify your prefered background color and font color. Many graphic progams ( like the ones I recommend ) allow you to use hex values in specifying colors used in the creation of your graphics.

Left-Click within the array of available colours to select the color's hue and saturation. Your selection and the hex value are displayed below.

Right-Click in the rectangle on the right side to select desired brightness. You can also left-click and drag to interactively adjust the brightness in real time.
